Hello, and welcome to Made For You Devon! I am Lin, and I started this journey into soap-making over a decade ago as a simple hobby. What began as a fun experiment quickly turned into an overflowing supply of soap. Encouraged by family and friends, I decided to turn my passion into a business. So, in January 2020, right before the world changed with the onset of COVID-19, I launched Made For You Devon with six of my favourite soap recipes.
Despite a slow start, I continued crafting soaps during lockdown and even developed a few new recipes. Around the same time, my son Steve and his husband Jord were looking for creative ways to stay busy. Steve started making beautifully scented wax melts, while Jord experimented with crafting vibrant bath bombs. Their creations were too good to keep to ourselves, so we decided to expand our product range and Made For You Devon truly became a family venture.
So who are we?
Meet Steve:
Steve is the mastermind behind our delightful wax melts. His carefully chosen fragrances are perfect for creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere at home.
By day, Steve works as a machine operator, but his passion for fragrance shines though in his work with us.
His favourite wax melt? The rich and indulgent Black Cherry.
Meet Jord:
Jord is our bath bomb expert, known for creating vibrant and fun bath bombs that are especially popular with kids. The colours and fragrances he crafts are sure to make bath time a blast!
When he’s not working full-time in hospitality, Jord is busy perfecting his bath bomb recipes.
His current favourite bath bomb is our new Summer Strawberry.
And finally, there’s me, Lin:
I’m the one behind all the soaps you see on our website and market stalls.
After years of working in travel, administration, and customer service, I have recently added nail technician to my resume.
My favourote soap from our collection is the soothing Chamomile & Honey.
I have a bit of a glitter obsession, and while I would love to add it to everything, I know how tricky it can be to clean up. So, we save a little biodegradable sparkle for our Christmas bath bombs.
Together, the three of us make up Made For You Devon, where we create handmade, heartfelt products just for you.
